Coax Cable Attenuation Calculator

Free online tool for amateur radio operators to compare RF signal loss across coaxial cables. Build multi-segment cable paths and instantly see dB attenuation and power efficiency on all ham radio bands from 160m to 13cm.

Supported Coaxial Cables

The calculator includes 34 cable types: RG-174/U, RG-316/U, RG-58/U, RG-213/U, RG-8/U, LMR-400, LMR-600, Ecoflex 5, Ecoflex 7, Ecoflex 10, Ecoflex 15, Aircom Premium, Aircom 15, H-155, H-2000 Flex, Ultraflex 7, Ultraflex 10, Hyperflex 5, Hyperflex 10, Hyperflex 13, Airborne 5, Airborne 10, POTA-Flex 7, Service-Flex 7, Stealth-Flex 7, Extraflex Bury 7, Extraflex Bury 10, Extraflex Bury 13, AVA5-50FX, CNT-400, Aircell 5, Aircell 7, LDF1-50, LDF4-50A (Andrews HELIAX).

Amateur Radio Bands

Attenuation data available for: 160m (1.8 MHz), 80m (3.5 MHz), 40m (7 MHz), 30m (10 MHz), 20m (14 MHz), 17m (18 MHz), 15m (21 MHz), 12m (24 MHz), 10m (28 MHz), 6m (50 MHz), 2m (144 MHz), 70cm (432 MHz), 23cm (1296 MHz), 13cm (2320 MHz).

How It Works

Add cable segments to your path — each segment has a cable type and length in metres. The tool calculates total attenuation in dB and power efficiency (%) for every band simultaneously. Results are shown on an interactive chart and a comparison table. Supports multi-segment paths, e.g. jumper + main run + patch panel.
